Armed Conflict

Armed conflicts occur between two or more organisational entities and one of these must be a government body. Armed conflicts can be classified by casualties: those that cause fewer than 25 deaths a year are considered small-scale armed conflicts; those causing 25 to 1,000 deaths a year are medium-scale; and over 1,000 deaths a year are massive-scale.
