Absolute Poverty

We generally define starving people living in disaster-affected or war-affected areas as "poor" because they lack food and basic necessities. Their lives may be extremely vulnerable. "Absolute poverty" is when a person is so deprived of resources to meet their daily requirements that their survival may be threatened. To help understand the concept of absolute poverty, we usually draw a poverty line.
